Greetings and Welcome to the Beta Eta Omega website

Beta Eta Omega Chapter, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. is one of 95 chapters located in the Great, Great Lakes Region. This region is comprised of chapters located in Michigan, Western New York, Ohio, Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Beta Eta Omega is located within the Southern Ohio Cluster in Dayton Ohio and is pleased to host a membership of 150+. We are honored to have Bernice I. Sumlin, 19th International President and Charlene T. Nelson, the current Great Lakes Regional Director as members of our chapter.

Beta Eta Omega Chapter was established in 1934 by five trailblazing women who envisioned an organization committed to providing service to the Dayton and surrounding communities. Now, 77 years later, Beta Eta Omega remains a stellar organization still committed to that same vision of “service to all mankind” promulgated by our National Founders in 1908. Through the 2010-2014 program focus of our International President, Attorney Carolyn House Stewart, Global Leadership through Timeless Service, Beta Eta Omega will continue our current programs of service which include, but are not limited to: Al-Ka-Pals Youth Group, Mary Scott Nursing Center, 5K Run/Walk to support American Heart Association, Entrepreneurship for Women to support economic security, Susannah B. Ross/Hattie B. Wills Eighth Grade Recognition Program to honor the academic, leadership and civic accomplishment of our youth and the Linda Vista Project to assist and empower women suffering from abuse. We are committed as an organization to reach a greater population through collaborations with Heifer International, Highrise Services, Inc. and the Good Samaritan Homeless Health Center.

We are proud of our sisterhood, our legacy and our unwavering dedication to assist and support the many civic and community organizations in this area.

As the newly elected President, I am pleased to welcome you to our website.
