Dayton Habitat is a volunteer-driven organization and it offers a hand-up not a hand out to Montgomery County Families.

On June 9, 2011 Alpha Kappa Alpha Beta Eta Omega members offered a hand-up by volunteering for the Habitat for Humanity 2011 Women Build. The Women Build took place at 4409 Talcott Trail, Trotwood, Ohio. Members worked tirelessly on this unusually warm June day. We measured, hammered nails, carried boards, and ultimately put up two interior walls. It was truly a wonderful experience. Beta Eta Omega by giving of their time, hard work, and dedication to Dayton Habitat for Humanity will make a permanent difference in the lives of the partner family.
