Focus on Asthma

Members of Beta Eta Omega joined Southern Ohio Cluster chapters, Phi Psi Omega, Rho Omega and Sigma Omega in support of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc International Health Initiative, with a focus on Asthma. The members joined over 100+ volunteers on Sunday, February 20, 2011 to support the annual American Lung Association of Ohio the the Fight for Air Climb.  Walkers and runner rallied together as teams and individuals to raising awareness of the #3 killer among Americans, Lung disease.  Lung disease includes: COPD, Asthma, Influenza, and Lung Cancer.  The teams and individuals raised over $125,000.00 by walking and running the 98 steps (45 flights) to the top of the Cincinnati Carew Towers.  Beta Eta Omega Chapter has committed to not only volunteering our services in 2012, but sponsoring a team of our own.
